Dowsing
It helps your conscious self to work closely with the force of good. Your spirit guides can help by acting as your ‘Gatekeeper’ and as your link to the spirit world. It may give you access to universal knowledge.
Dowsing / Divining is one such method to receive intuitive replies from the pendulum by reaching beyond the limitations of known knowledge.
The individual practicing ‘Dowsing’ establishes contact with the cosmic energy through the power of endurance and intuition. It is very important to maintain perfect harmony of mind, body and soul; the dowser should be stable and have purity of mind.
Dowsing is a metaphysical art which enables us to foresee events that are not apparently possible for common people to perceive. It can be used for a variety of tasks — from searching for water and minerals, missing people or lost objects, to checking health issues and sending subtle vibrations over distance. Pendulum dowsing is becoming a technique of choice for alternative health practitioners.
Tarot Cards
Tarot is an impressive game of cards originating from Renaissance Italy. Fortunately for us, its beauty and scope make it a wonderful tool for divination. The tarot deck consists of 78 cards, broken into 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana.
Tarot cards have been used for divination throughout their known history, and this is still their main application today — but by no means their only use. Their esoteric links, particularly with the Kabbalah, can enrich spiritual study and meditation, and they also have psychological applications, all of which make them a valuable tool in the search for self-knowledge — and for seeing what the future may hold.
Cartouche Cards
The initiation of Egyptian symbols brings about a state of heightened awareness and clarity. There are 24 initiations into the ancient archetypal universal symbols from Egypt, which can enhance healing powers and psychic development. A cartouche is the oval in which the hieroglyphs are drawn.
Runes
Runes are a method of divination similar to the Tarot or the I Ching. The difference is that runes are a set of 24/25 stones instead of 78 cards. As with the Tarot, most runes may appear right side up or upside down, the meaning differing with the case — though some runes cannot appear upside down.
The earliest runic inscriptions were not coherent texts, but simple markings on artifacts such as coins and combs, giving the name of either the craftsman or the owner — or sometimes remaining a linguistic mystery. Because of this, the early runes were likely used not so much as a writing system, but as magical signs for charms or divination. The name ‘rune’ itself, meaning “secret, something hidden”, suggests that knowledge of the runes was originally considered esoteric, restricted to an elite.
Cartomancy
Cartomancy is a divination art in which playing cards are used, similar to tarot reading — the art of reading cards to gain insight into future events. The cards provided here are over 100 years old.
Dominoes
Dominoes generally refer to the gaming pieces making up a domino set (sometimes called a deck or pack), or to the tile games played with them. In mathematical tiling, the word ‘domino’ refers to any rectangle formed by joining two congruent squares edge to edge.
Besides games, another use of dominoes is the domino show, where they are stood on end in long lines so that toppling the first tile topples the second, then the third, and so on until all fall. By analogy, small events causing a chain of similar events leading to eventual catastrophe is called the ‘domino effect’.
